British officer Dudley Malster kicked out a family of Ukrainian refugees with five children

The incident took place in Fairham, Hampshire. It is specified that a family of nine people, including two elderly women, arrived in the UK after two months in Poland.

Maxim Hyryk, the head of the family from Kyiv, said that initially the owners treated them with warmth and hospitality. However, a few weeks later, the Malsters, without warning or explanation, decided to terminate the contract.

“They just stopped talking to us and we got a letter saying we were being evicted. (…) They also turned off the Internet, so it is difficult for us to email and communicate,” a refugee from Ukraine said.

At the same time, a large family was given a deadline until July 15 for training. As a result, Maxim and his wife Olga were forced to open a fundraiser to pay for new housing.

As it was found out, the 40-year-old owner of the house, Dudley Malster, is a senior officer in the Royal Navy with 20 years of experience. He served in Afghanistan and Bahrain, and was also involved in providing overseas travel for the royal family.

Earlier, journalist Hanna Roberts said that residents of the English city of Reading began to complain of fatigue due to the situation with Ukrainian refugees. According to the observer, many Britons were happy to host refugees from Ukraine, but after four months their enthusiasm waned.
