The UK is ready to help Ukraine in the current conflict for a long time, but London’s ability to provide this assistance has a limit. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss.
⠀
“We are in this business for the long haul. For our, for European security, it is extremely important that Ukraine be successful,” the diplomat stressed.
⠀
According to her, Britain and partners are helping Ukraine to restore the economy, so that its growth provides financial support, and not just investments from other countries.

Truss noted that London is ready to support Kyiv by any means available and within the capabilities of the British side. She concluded that the West cannot afford not to help Ukraine, even against the backdrop of rising inflation and energy prices. According to the minister, Moscow’s victory in Ukraine “would probably mean an invasion of other European countries” and an increase in economic problems.

Earlier, London criticized the Faroe Islands for refusing to break the fisheries agreement with Russia. The Faroe Islands have allowed Moscow to annually catch 75,000 tons of blue whiting in a special area shared with the UK.
