The 2016 New Hampshire primary is now a history. And the winners came out easily just like pundits predicted it, the real estate mogul Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders cruised to victory. * Donald Trump: After Trump’s not-so-good Iowa campaign failed to make a remarkable result on his polling lead going into that state’s caucuses, the New York billionaire energized his battle for the Republican presidential ticket with a convincing New Hampshire victory. Trump showed us a real fighting ability in the face of a setback eight days ago in Iowa. Trump’s political profile is remarkably gaining strength by the day with a second place in Iowa and a first place in New Hampshire. Trump will head into South Carolina in 10 days high spirited and having proving that he is more than just a political celebrity. He proved last night that means business not in for the fun of it all.
* Bernie Sanders: Months ago, just before the election campaign intensified, no one would have believed that a 74-year-old socialist would overwhelmingly defeated the former secretary of state in the first-in-the-nation primary, i doubt if anyone would have believed. Despite the best campaign strategy of Hillary Clinton, Sanders’s win wasn’t absolutely because he represents a neighboring state. Back in 2004 Howard Dean represented a neighboring state and woefully lost to John Kerry . This is a truly a convincing win for Sanders, a good campaign result for him, for the second time in eight days. His appeal with young voters and the energy behind him seems to be presently working for him well. The race moves next stop is at Nevada on Feb. 20, a caucus state where Sanders was already better placed than most people had placed him. His win tonight will give his campaign team a greater boost in Nevada. Political pundits are asking that what happened Tuesday night in New Hampshire make him more able to appealing to black and Hispanic voters?
John Kasich: The Ohio governor put a great fight in New Hampshire. His plans worked as he managed to come out second in the Republican race, giving him the assurance that he will stay in the race through South Carolina and fight for the mantle of establishment choice of the republican. Kasich’s lead adviser John Weaver has proven yet again that he is experienced in positioning a candidate to appeal to New Hampshire Republicans and independents. (Weaver was in John McCain’s inner circle when the Arizona senator stunned the political world in New Hampshire in 2000.) Kasich’s performance in New Hampshire could as well be his handy-work. At this point, he’s got to be elated that he even his tomorrow battle in the race is secured.
