Cambodia issues new entry regulations for travellers

The Cambodian health ministry has announced the new set of rules regarding the travelling. On Wednesday, the Asian country’s government issued a decision on the facilitation of entry in the country for international visitors, Vietnam Plus has learned.

The Cambodian Ministry of Health has facilitated travel conditions and the implementation of health measures for travellers entering the nation.

In other words, the fully vaccinated travellers, after receiving a negative COVID-19 test result, are not required to quarantine and can travel freely throughout Cambodia.

In the event of a positive COVID-19 test result, the patient may be referred for treatment or referred to a facility authorized by the ministry.

The same day, Cambodia held a ceremony to receive two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China, with Prime Minister Hun Sen expressing his hope for China to open a COVID-19 vaccine production centre in the nation.

As of November 16, Cambodia had vaccinated 14 million people and foreigners from over five years old, or almost 88 percent of the population.
