Kazakhstan’s government announced its readiness to provide necessary aid to China to help the Asian country to curb coronavirus. As Trend news agency reports, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter to President Xi Jinping on the spread of coronavirus.
China will get any possible humanitarian assistance if necessary from Kazakhstan. As President Kasym Jomart Tokayev reported, the set of measures was taken by the Kazakh government to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
“Highly appreciating the decisions and actions of the Chinese leadership to localize and curb the dangerous virus, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed the Chairman of the Public Republic of China on the decision of the Kazakh government to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to China if necessary,” the press release reads.
Coronavirus has taken lives of at least 259 in China since December 2019. The symptoms include cough, headache, fatigue, fever, aching and difficulty breathing. The infection is primarily spread through airborne contact or contact with contaminated objects, the medical experts say.
Kazakhstan’s public health authorities warn the local population that the new coronavirus has been declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization on Friday. The outbreak continues to spread while the Chinese health authorities say that the majority of the people who have died were either elderly or had underlying health problems.
As of Feb 1st, the cases of coronavirus spreading have also been confirmed in Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the US, France, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
