Robin Wright takes command in the 6th season of The House of Cards, the actress also has posted a photo promoting the upcoming final season, Entertainment Weekly reports.
House of Cards’s star hints at a possible storyline that may explain Kevin Spacey’s character’s rapid exit from the political drama. Robin Wright who plays a character as unscrupulous first lady Claire Underwood shared a photo. It shows how Claire has blood on her hands, seeping beneath her wedding ring.
Robin’s long-time screen’s partner Kevin Spacey was expected to continue on in the Netflix hit TV series, but was fired shortly after production resumed in the fall. When allegations of sexual assault against him by actor Anthony Rapp appeared, Kevin’s career was over. Later, Mr Spacey apologized to Rapp but said he had no memory of their encounter, and has denied other allegations. Since November, the House of Cards’ ex-star announced he was seeking “evaluation and treatment”.
Such a quick change made Netflix’s bosses revise he cast and screenplay of the House of Cards, the final sixth season House of Cards began production earlier this year. The season will run for an abbreviated eight episodes, and premiere sometime in 2018.
Undoubtedly, the charming and experienced actress like Robin will make the political drama even better. Her heroine Claire is extremely perspective and interesting, and there are rumours that Netflix doesn’t mind the spin-off with Ms Right as a strong female political character.
