Danny Boyle, creator of Trainspotting and 2012 London Olympics short movie, will be a director for the next episode of James Bond saga. The Oscar-winning artist is the best option for 25th Bond film, Daniel Craig believes.
The next 007 film is due to be released from 25 October 2019, the producers have already confirmed that Danny Boyle is a director. Boyle will also reunite with Trainspotting writer John Hodge, such a duo promises the brilliant and quality screenplay. According to UK’s Pinewood Studios, 25th Bond film’s production is set to begin on 3 December.
Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, EON Productions’, described the British director as “exceptionally talented”, they are really delighted to have him on board. daniel Craig is also glad to reunite with Boyle, they were working together six years ago while the making a short film for the 2012 London Olympics.
Donna Langley, chair of Universal, which is distributing the film in the UK and internationally, adores “the unparalleled combination of Danny’s innovative filmmaking and Daniel’s embodiment of 007”. The 25th film about 007 will be a masterpiece, undoubtedly.
Hollywood welcomes Danny Boyle as Bond next film’s director
Hollywood’s MGM is distributing the film in the US from 8 November 2019, with Ulrich adding it had been 16 years since the company last distributed a Bond film, Die Another Day. Chair of MGM’s board, Kevin Ulrich, is delighted with the news about Boyle:
“We couldn’t be more thrilled than to bring the next 007 adventure to the big screen, uniting the incomparable Daniel Craig with the extraordinary vision of Danny Boyle.”
Craig confirmed last August he would be returning to make his fifth Bond, having previously starred in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
Boyle will join his 007 team after finishing his current projects like All You Need is Love, a Richard Curtis-scripted film that revolves around the music of The Beatles.
