Johnny Vegas says he ‘hopes it’s not the end for Benidorm’ after last-ever episode

Johnny Vegas said good-bye to the ITV comedy, Benidorm, but the comedian still hopes that ‘it’s not the end for Benidorm,’ The Sun reported.

On Wednesday night, the final episode in the tenth series will be aired, so Jonny Vegas confessed he doesn’t believe the TV show is coming to an end after successful 11-year-old-long life. Johnny played Geoff Maltby in the popular series.

Show’s director Derren Litten took to twitter to say:

“I created the series over 11 years ago, wrote it, guest starred in it and ended up directing it. It’s difficult to think what else there is to do! Thank you for watching! #MuchasGracias!”

Johnny Vegas who became a star of the British comedy after David Graham’s Ideal in the mid-2000s. After leaving that unique project, Mr Vegas started to work on the set of a new sitcom, which follows the lives of Brits abroad at an all-inclusive Spanish resort – has kept viewers entertained since 2007.

Jonny opened up on Thursday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britian about his hopes for the future of the programme. When asked by Susanna Reid if he knew what was going to happen next, he replied:

“I don’t know, I’m kind of out the loop because I wasn’t in the last series. I hope it’s not the end for the cast, for everybody else, for the viewers especially and it would be a shame because then I’d have to visit my on screen mum at home and that’s when things get creepy.”

Reports which circulated earlier this month have suggested that Derren will now focus on a new comedy show in Scarborough.
