Xi Jinping called for increasing the capabilities of the missile forces.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stated the need to increase the real combat capabilities of the missile forces of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA), China Central Television reported on Saturday.

As the TV channel notes, earlier Xi Jinping visited one of the brigades of the PLA missile forces and gave a speech.

“It is necessary… to increase real combat capabilities and capabilities for strategic deterrence, and to resolutely carry out various tasks set by the party and the people,” the channel quotes the words of the head of the People’s Republic of China.

Xi Jinping also emphasized the need to comprehensively strengthen combat training, strengthen combat capability, ensure effective protection of national strategic security and core interests, and adapt to changes in modern forms and methods of warfare.

Previously, Xi Jinping stated the need to build in China a modern system of military theory with Chinese characteristics, as well as the need to comprehensively strengthen the combat training of troops and increase the effectiveness of the People’s Liberation Army of China.
