Two trains collided in Poland, five people were injured.

Two trains collided in Gdynia, Poland, the State Fire Service of the Pomeranian Voivodeship reports.

“At the Gdynia-Hlavna station, a train and an electric train collided. Both trains were moving towards each other,” the report says.

According to rescuers, five victims are currently known. There were no reports of deaths.

According to preliminary information, the collision occurred “probably due to the fact that the train ignored the stop signal.”


One of the carriages derailed and overturned on its side. Help is currently being sent to the rescuers working at the scene from nearby Tczew.
