The warehouse of a businessman who supplied weapons to Ukraine burned down in Bulgaria.

The second fire in a year broke out in the Bulgarian Karnobat at an ammunition depot owned by businessman Emilian Gebrev, who supplied weapons to Ukraine at the height of the conflict in the east of the country in 2014.

The radio station reported the first fire in July 2022. Then Gebrev announced the possibility of deliberate undermining or arson.

It is noted that a series of explosions preceded the fire. No one was hurt, but the warehouse was completely burned down.

According to police, the National Security Agency is investigating the incident. It is not clear if there is a link between the two fires, Gebrev said.

The New York Times reported in 2021 that Gebrev admitted to supplying weapons to Ukraine at the height of the conflict in the east of the country in 2014, and also confirmed that he stored ammunition in warehouses in Vrbetice, Czech Republic.
