The US administration is negotiating with Congress about funds for Ukraine.

The US administration is in talks with Congress to allocate an additional $37.7 billion to Ukraine, including $21 billion in military aid, said John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the National Security Council.

He added that the consultations are led by the President’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan.

“Mr. Sullivan was on Capitol Hill this week to discuss our additional $37.7 billion requests that we have submitted to Congress, of which $21 billion will go to security assistance to Ukraine,” Kirby said at a media briefing.

The White House expects to receive additional funds to support Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia within the budget, which is scheduled to be approved before December 16.
