The Saudi minister said there was still time for negotiations with Israel.

Negotiations to normalize relations with Israel are still on the table, Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid al-Falih said.

The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas at the end of October called on Arab and Islamic countries to expel Israeli ambassadors and end all forms of normalization of relations with this state “in light of the crimes committed by the occupation administration and the genocidal war.” At the same time, the Associated Press previously reported that a member of the Hamas leadership abroad, Ali Baraka, denied suggestions that the movement’s operation in Israel, launched on October 7, is aimed at disrupting US efforts to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

“It (normalization) is still on the table,” the Saudi minister said.

He added that the problems in normalization associated with the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict demonstrate why Riyadh insists that normalization is linked to its peaceful resolution.
