The Prime Minister of Georgia spoke about the consequences of the opposition’s victory in the elections.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze believes that if the opposition United National Movement party comes to power following the autumn elections, they will involve the country in a military conflict a week after the victory.

Parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia on October 26.

“Everyone knows that the collective National Movement wants to return to power, but this will not happen. If we allow it theoretically, then in a maximum of a week they will commit actions that will once again lead Georgia to war. We must not allow this,” Kobakhidze said journalists.

Kobakhidze has previously repeatedly stated that if ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s United National Movement party were in power, Georgia would already be involved in a military conflict, as they want to open a “second front” against Russia.
