The President of Brazil suffered an injury to the back of his head.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva suffered a significant injury to the back of his head, requiring stitches and suffering a slight hemorrhage, doctor Robert Kalila Filha said.

“The injury was not small, it was significant in the occipital region … He had to get stitches … there was also a small hemorrhage in the frontotemporal region of the brain,” Figlia said.

At the same time, he noted that Lula da Silva feels well and can work normally, but he will undergo examinations this week, since such bleeding may intensify in the days following the injury.
