The Polish opposition decided to develop a new constitution.

The Polish opposition has decided to develop a new constitution and fight against changes to the Treaty establishing the European Union, Rafal Bochenek, spokesman for the Law and Justice party, told reporters.

On Saturday, the opposition right-wing parties Law and Justice and Sovereign Poland decided to unite and signed a ten-point “ideological declaration” of both parties. It was signed on behalf of Law and Justice by party chairman Jaroslaw Kaczynski, and on behalf of Sovereign Poland by acting chairman Patrick Jaki.

“In the first paragraph of the declaration, both parties pledge to “work towards the creation of a new constitution that will restore public order in Poland,” Bochenek said.

He added that in the second paragraph of the declaration, the parties committed themselves to “an assertive policy towards the European Union, and in case of going beyond laws and treaties, to the defense of Polish sovereignty.”

“In the third, we undertake, if a new version of the treaty is adopted in the European Union, to organize a national referendum and an active campaign against its implementation in Poland,” Bochenek noted.

The fourth point of the declaration, according to him, concerns the “continuation of social programs”, the fifth – the rejection of the climate goals of the European Union, and the sixth – “the restoration of complete freedom in Poland, in particular freedom of speech, freedom to choose a car, apartment or heating sources.”

Bochenek said that point seven of the declaration is “our commitment to protect the zloty and fight the ban on the use of cash.”

“Point eight is a commitment to abandoning gender ideology, protecting traditional values and family,” he added.

In the ninth paragraph, the parties pledge to “build good relations with the United States.” In turn, the tenth paragraph talks about the future “bringing to justice” of the leaders of the current ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
