The King of Jordan has called for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip.

The King of Jordan has called for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip.

King Abdullah II of Jordan called for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave.

“There is an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip… and continuous delivery of aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip,” the monarch said, speaking at a summit on the Palestinian issue in Cairo.

According to the king, “it is necessary to stop the humanitarian catastrophe that is leading the region (the Middle East) to the abyss.”

“We categorically reject the forced displacement of Palestinians, which is a red line for all of us,” the monarch added.

The summit on the Palestinian issue started Saturday in the Egyptian capital Cairo with the participation of more than 30 states and a number of international and regional organizations.
