The Iranian President’s helicopter made a hard landing.

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made a hard landing near the town of Verzegan near the Iran-Azerbaijan border.

 

Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic Hossein Amir Abdollahian and several other Iranian officials were also on board. It is noted that rescue teams have been sent to the scene. Difficult weather conditions make it difficult for rescuers to access the helicopter landing site, IRIB TV channel reported.

 

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi confirmed information that the helicopter of the President of the Islamic Republic, Ebrahim Raisi, made a hard landing.

 

“The President was returning in one of several helicopters, which made a hard landing due to fog. Rescue teams are heading to the area, but due to fog and bad weather, the journey to the site may take some time,” the minister said on IRIB TV.
