The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Blashak said that citizens should be able to use weapons

As many Polish citizens as possible should be trained in the handling of weapons and be able to use them. This was called for by the Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the new bill, which can simplify the process of obtaining permission for personal weapons for employees of law enforcement agencies and law-abiding citizens, will expand the knowledge of the population in this area.

“I have no doubt that as many people as possible should be trained, should be able to use weapons,” Blaschak said.

“It is important for us that as many people as possible know how to behave in a crisis,” the Minister of Defense said.

He added that the training of citizens can be carried out as part of the training of reservists and voluntary military service. At the same time, Blaschak stressed that the expansion of weapons rights must be approached judiciously so as not to repeat the mistakes of the United States.

On June 2, it became known that the US House of Representatives planned to consider a bill to tighten national gun laws. The House will try to pass legislation that would raise the legal age to purchase certain weapons from 18 to 21, as well as limit the trade in guns and encourage safe keeping.
