Owners of fast food restaurants around the White House in Washington, fearing possible unrest, decided to cover their windows with boards ahead of the US presidential election.

Fast food restaurants McDonalds, Panera and Potbelly on the streets adjacent to the White House in Washington DC are covering their windows with wooden shields ahead of the country’s presidential election, fearing unrest. However, not all establishments and shops on these streets have made this decision.

On the streets near the White House, the population calmly goes about their business, no tension is felt. Only two women selling souvenirs associated with both candidates in the elections remind of the upcoming event.

The US presidential elections will take place on November 5th. The Democratic Party will be represented by US Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican Party by former President Donald Trump.
