Prince Harry: No royal wants the British throne

Prince Harry: No royal wants the British throne

Prince Harry has never kept secret his opinion regarding monarchy and his own place in the hierarchy. The redhead royal seemed to be even a critic of the monarchy, in his recent interview, prince revealed that no royal wants the British throne.

The lack of desire for the ‘top job’ is obvious when you read the extraordinary interview of Prince Harry to Newsweek, the 32-year-old grandson of Queen Elizabeth believes that no royal wants the British throne today. Now appears to be suggesting that no one else in his family, including his brother William, wants it either.

Saying about the monarchy, Harry asks:

‘Is there any one of the Royal Family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.’

During the extraordinary interview, Prince Harry (right) said no-one wanted to be king or queen, including his father (left) and brother (centre)

Prince Harry and Prince William don’t want the throne

Harry revealed that in the British royal family the game of thrones is just absent, none of his royal relatives is eager to get the ‘top job’. The only person who is able to do this job is Queen, Harry is proud of his grandmother, she is fantastic in letting them choose and always says princes should take their time.

Additionally, Harry makes clear that, in partnership with Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the young royals are also keen to modernise the monarchy – although there is, intriguingly, no mention of their father, Charles.
