One of the founders of the Shiite Hezbollah movement has died.

One of the founders of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, Muhammad Hassan Yaghi, died at the age of 65 after a long illness.

“The executive assistant to the secretary general of Hezbollah, one of the founders of the party in 1982 and its leader in several positions,  lawmaker Muhammad Hassan Yaghi “Abu Salim” has died after a long illness,” Lebanese media reported.

Hezbollah in its statement called for participation in the funeral procession, which will begin on Thursday in the city of Baalbek.
