NATO does not see the political conditions for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

Today, NATO does not see the political conditions for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, Deputy Secretary General of the alliance Mircea Geoana said.

Earlier, Zelensky, during an online speech at the G20 summit, voiced his 10-point vision of steps to restore peace in Ukraine. Also at the G20, he said that “there will be no Minsk-3.” Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that such words “absolutely confirm” Kiev’s position on its reluctance to negotiate.

“Today we do not see the political conditions for starting negotiations. The basis for peace exists. There is Zelensky’s ten-point plan. It was shared and accepted by many countries, including outside NATO, and therefore I think this represents a very, very good foundation,” Joanne said.

He noted that US President Joe Biden also has a peace formula that the North Atlantic Organization adheres to – “there is no solution on Ukraine without Ukraine.”
