Musk has denied reports of plans to build a city on Mars.

American entrepreneur Elon Musk has denied a media report that he instructed SpaceX employees to develop a plan for a city on Mars, and that he volunteered to provide his genetic material for populating a future Martian colony.

On Thursday, the New York Times, citing sources close to Musk, internal documents and emails, reported that he had instructed SpaceX employees to develop a plan to build a city on Mars, including work on domed habitats and spacesuits, and to explore options for combating hostile forces. the Martian environment and the further settlement of the planet by people.

“I did not ‘volunteer to donate my sperm’. No one at SpaceX was assigned to work on a Martian city. When people asked for this, I said that we need to focus on getting there first,” Musk wrote in social networks X.

Previously, Musk said that he expects to carry out an unmanned flight of the Starship spacecraft to Mars in the next four years. According to him, he would also name the first city on Mars with the word “Bar”.
