North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called on the unrealistic and “useless” idea of ​​unification with the South to be “thrown out of your head,” the Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reports.

The head of the republic announced this when visiting the command of the second corps of the Korean People’s Army (KPA). He was accompanied by the Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK Park Chong Chon and the Minister of Defense of the DPRK No Gwan Chol. They were met on the spot by the Chief of the KPA General Staff, Lee Yong Gir, and unit commanders.

The DPRK leader visited the command post of the “large formation”, listened to the corps commander’s report on the location of the opposing forces and checked the readiness of the subordinate brigades that had entered combat readiness.

Kim Jong-un noted that the security situation around the DPRK requires making “every effort to improve the ability to wage war” and more carefully establish a consistent defense of the state’s security.

“Our army must once again clearly understand the undoubted fact that the Republic of Korea is a foreign country and an absolutely hostile state,” he emphasized.

The North Korean leader added that the nature of the US-South Korea alliance has become more “aggressive,” which further proves the fairness and importance of North Korea strengthening its nuclear deterrent forces.

Kim Jong-un also mentioned the severance of road and rail communications with South Korea.

“This action not only symbolizes physical separation, but also marks the breaking of the centuries-long bad association with Seoul, the useless idea of ​​(South Koreans) as fellow tribesmen and the unrealistic idea of ​​unification. This step is the final warning that In the event of a violation of our sovereignty by South Korea, our military force will be used without any conditions or hesitation,” he said.

The head of the DPRK added that such measures would be a legitimate response to the actions of an “enemy state,” and not an attack against compatriots. According to him, only peace protected by “mighty forces” capable of keeping the enemy “in check” is durable and guarantees the security of the state and people. Kim Jong-un stressed that to achieve such peace, the DPRK army must become even stronger.
