US Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the Democratic National Convention in Chicago remotely, thanking them for confirming her candidacy following a ceremonial vote that ended at the United Center in Chicago.

Convention organizers included a broadcast of Harris on installed screens from the city of Milwaukee, where she is currently located.

“I thank you!” – Harris said via video broadcast to convention participants.

Harris will address the assembled convention Thursday night to formally accept the party nomination.
