Israelis have been urged to leave Egypt and Jordan due to security threats.

Israel’s National Security Council (NSC) has raised its travel warning for Israelis in Egypt and Jordan to the highest level, meaning citizens there should leave those countries immediately, the Israeli prime minister’s office said.

“The NSC is raising its travel warning for Egypt (including Sinai) and Jordan to Level 4 (high threat) and recommends against travel to these countries. Those in these countries should leave their territories as soon as possible,” the statement said.

The travel warning for Morocco was also raised to level three, advising against non-essential travel to the country.

The office noted that against the background of the continuation of the conflict in recent days in various countries of the world, especially in the Middle East, another significant escalation of anti-Israeli protests with manifestations of hostility and violence against Israeli and Jewish symbols has been recorded.
