In Belgium, protesters set fire to four schools over a new subject about sex.

Belgian police have launched an investigation into attempted arson attacks on schools in the city of Charleroi, where parents are unhappy with the introduction of a new compulsory subject in schools about sex and sexual orientation.

According to available information, an investigation is being conducted into four episodes of attempted night arson of school buildings by unknown persons. Black messages were also left on the walls of the schools: “No Evras” – an acronym for the name of the new subject “Sexuality and Sexuality Education”.

This two-hour annual course has become compulsory for schoolchildren aged 11-12 and 15-16 from this year. Its authors said it would “answer teens’ questions on sensitive topics” including “sexism, sexual violence and gender stereotypes.”

At the same time, opponents of such a subject fear that hypersexuality and change of sexual orientation will be promoted in schools. Islamic and Catholic organizations called for protests against the imposed school subject.

The police, in turn, promise to find the attackers who tried to set fire to schools.
