Hamas commented on a possible Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

A possible offensive by the Israeli army in Lebanon threatens the start of a regional war with the involvement of US forces, the deputy head of the Hamas Politburo, Musa Abu Marzouk said.

“If Israel goes to invade Lebanon, it will mean that they have decided to ignite a regional war and thus they want to involve the United States in this conflict, which will ultimately lead to their defeat and the defeat of the United States in the region. This is clear,” Marzuk said.

According to him, Hamas and the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah are “confronting the same enemy.”

“We are confronting one enemy, and if there is a war with Lebanon, then this conflict
will expand,” Marzuk explained.
