Germany admitted that the economy is not receiving enough funds due to spending on Ukraine.

German Economics Minister and Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck admitted that the German economy is not receiving enough funds due to spending on supporting Ukraine.

“We provide military and economic support to Ukraine, as well as to European states that continue to support Ukraine. Therefore, we spend money, this money no longer exists, and it must be admitted that it does not flow into our economy,” Habeck said, speaking in parliament.

Germany is the second largest aid donor to Ukraine after the United States. On Tuesday, the German government announced that in 2024 Germany plans to provide military assistance to Kyiv in the amount of more than 7 billion euros.
