Estonia will transfer a field hospital to Ukraine.

The Estonian government on Thursday supported the proposal of Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to send a field hospital, anti-drone defense equipment, as well as equipment for doctors and sappers to the Ukrainian armed forces, the press service of the Estonian Cabinet of Ministers reported.

“Now, during the counter-offensive, assistance to Ukraine is more important than ever, medical assistance is especially important. We are sending the fourth field hospital to Ukraine in cooperation with Iceland. The new assistance package also includes protection against drones and equipment for paramedics and sappers,” Pevkur said.

According to the Ministry of Defense, Estonia has already provided Ukraine with almost 400 million euros worth of military assistance, or more than 1% of the country’s GDP. It included missiles for the Javelin anti-tank missile system, howitzers, anti-tank mines, anti-tank grenade launchers, mortars, vehicles, communications equipment, medical supplies, personal protective equipment and dry rations.
