Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit, the press service of Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov told reporters on Monday.

“The President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, November 4, arrived on a state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. At the Manas International Airport, the Turkish leader was met by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov,” the message says.

It is noted that within the framework of the state visit, negotiations between the presidents of the two countries are planned in a narrow format, as well as the sixth meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation chaired by the heads of the two states, during which the parties will discuss a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Turkish interaction.

Erdogan is also expected to participate in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will be held in Bishkek on November 6.
