Elon Musk’s Hyperloop might not debut in the U.S.

Elon Musk offered too fantastic project, the Department of Transportation in U.S. isn’t ready for this yet. The tube-based travel system and more than 700 miles per hour are ‘little too much’ at the moment, confessing the officials. That is the reason, on which Hyperloop might not debut in the U.S.

Elon Musk’s Hyperloop transportation system is able to carry passengers and freight at more than 700 mph. But the U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT) requires many permissions prior to allowing the new kind of transport to start.

According to the officials, the new technology may be there before the government is. Too fast and very unexpectedly. The market of transportation is trying to meet now with the autonomous cars. They are similar enough to normal cars that the DoT has been able to start issuing federal guidelines.

In case of Hyperloop, it requires Congressional action before the DoT can ‘jump into it with two feet’ and start making rules. That’s why pretty possible that Hyperloop will debut in other countries, not in the U.S.

America’s transportation secretary, Anthony Foxx, explained this situation:

‘We want to be first. We want to be safest.’And I think that’s a good thing for us.’
