Duda wants to apply for the post of head of the IOC, the ex-president of Poland said.

Polish leader Andrzej Duda, after completing his work as head of state in 2025, intends to apply for the post of president of the International Olympic Committee, ex-President of Poland Alexander said.

“I recently heard that Andrzej Duda would like to become IOC president,” he said.

According to Kwasniewski, the chances of such an appointment are extremely low.

“I understand that Andrzej Duda is looking for something to do after becoming president. But I advise you to look for something more realistic,” he said.

According to the politician, the IOC has its own rules for appointing presidents, who are usually people from the world of sports related to the Olympic Games.

“Theoretically, I think that if a politician was the organizer of the Olympic Games or made a great contribution to their organization… But, as you know, there were no Olympic Games in Poland,” he explained.

Duda is serving his second consecutive term as president and, according to the Polish constitution, will no longer be able to stand as a candidate in the 2025 elections.
