China will deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in an all-round way with Kyrgyzstan, said the Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday.
Mutual cooperation brings more benefits to the people of both countries, Kyrgyzstan and China, the Chinese leader confirmed after the meeting with the Kyrgyz President. As China Economic Net reports, Sadyr Zhaparov came to China for the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
Commenting on the perspectives of the cooperation between the two neighbours, Xi also said Beijing stands ready to comprehensively upgrade security cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The two countries are ready to jointly safeguard the security and stability in the region.
Attaching great importance to the implementation of economic, social and infrastructure cooperation projects of great significance to Kyrgyzstan, the two leaders spoke highly of the memorandum of Understanding on promoting investment cooperation in green development signed during this meeting.
Xi added that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is the main driving force for economic, social and cultural cooperation projects between Kyrgyz and Chinese businesses. In addition, two heads of state believe that the BRI cooperation should give full play to the potential of transportation and transit transportation, and the development of existing and new routes. Among the most anticipated projects is the construction of new railway lines including the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The railway is of great significance to the economic and social development of the region, the Chinese leader stressed out.
