Borrell confused South Korea with Japan.

EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell confused South Korea with Japan during his Asian tour during negotiations in Seoul.

“I am here as a European to announce the defense and security partnership between the EU and Japan,” Borrell announced at a meeting with South Korean government officials.

After a remark from one member of the European delegation and laughter among the South Korean representatives, Borrell corrected himself: “What? Oh God, I’m sorry… with Korea,” he said.
