Biden has said he is not seeking to contain China.

US President Joe Biden said that his goal is not to contain China, but he advocates building predictable relations with this country.

“This trip was less focused on containing China. I have no desire to contain China. I just want us to build relationships in a predictable way and each of us understands how things are,” Biden said at a news conference in Vietnam , held following the G20 summit in New Delhi.
