A resident of New York staged a solo procession of the “Immortal Regiment” on Victory Day

The organizers of the “Immortal Regiment” in American New York decided to abandon the action this year. However, a local resident Tatyana staged a solo procession.

The woman said that every year on Victory Day she participates in the New York action “Immortal Regiment”. This year she decided not to break the tradition.

“In the morning I got up and went. Went around three girls. They drew attention to me, asked what it was. I tell them: “I participate in the Immortal Regiment, and this is my dad. I remember. And Victory Day is sacred to me,” she said.

Tatyana emphasized that every year she puts on a St. George ribbon on May 9th. However, the woman clarified that it is not safe in New York.
As previously reported, the US authorities banned the patriotic action “Immortal Regiment” in the country. In addition, they also did not organize a flower-laying ceremony at the Spirit of the Elbe memorial.
