A rally of thousands in support of Gaza is taking place in Washington.

Tens of thousands of activists gathered in Washington on Saturday for a rally in support of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstration is scheduled to start at 13:00. Now activists are gathering at Freedom Plaza (not far from the White House and the Capitol), from where, as planned, they will march through the streets of the American capital to the White House.

The demonstration was announced several weeks ago, even before the US and British attacks on the Shiite movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) ruling in northern Yemen. Despite this, some activists came with signs in support of Yemen.

Also on Saturday, another pro-Palestinian demonstration is taking place in Washington, near the White House. Activists brought toys in memory of the children killed in Gaza by Israeli strikes. The Secret Service installed an additional two-meter fence near the White House.

In the United States, against the backdrop of a new round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, large-scale protests are taking place, the vast majority in support of Palestine and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
