An elderly man died from the heat in the Death Valley National Park in the United States, the park’s press service said on its website.

“On the morning of July 3rd, a 65-year-old San Diego man was found in his car in Death Valley National Park. The cause of death is likely extreme heat,” the park’s website said in a statement.

According to the press service of the park, the day before, the daytime temperature in Death Valley reached 52.2 degrees Celsius. Night – 36 degrees.

The car of the deceased was found with two flat tires near the road passing through the park. The victim was unconscious inside. The air conditioning didn’t work and the windows were open. Rescuers arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead from heatstroke.
