American Milliken will develop military uniforms for the Armenian army.

The Armenian side is discussing with the American company Milliken & Company the development and supply of new military uniforms for the Armenian armed forces, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Defense reports.

It is noted that as part of a working visit to the United States, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received at the embassy of the republic in Washington Bruce Laflame, vice president of Milliken & Company, specializing in the design and development of military uniforms, as well as the heads of military and international programs of the company Scott Group and Tommy Yanga.

“During the meeting, issues related to cooperation in the development of new uniforms for the Armenian armed forces were discussed, in particular, regarding types of uniforms, the development process, delivery times for test samples and other procedures for implementing the program,” the statement said.

In February, Papikyan said that Armenia intends to introduce military uniforms according to NATO standards in its armed forces. He clarified that for now we are talking about field uniforms. According to the minister, a tender will be announced, as a result of which a comfortable, high-quality military uniform will appear, while its sale will be prohibited by law.
