Brazil’s First Lady Slams Musk Ahead of G20 Summit.

Brazil’s First Lady Rosangela Lula da Silva swore at Elon Musk during a G20 public event on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.

Rosangela Lula da Silva spoke at the event, where she spoke about the need to regulate social networks. At this time, a loud sound similar to a beep was heard, the first lady jokingly sat down, covering her head with her hands, and said that it was Musk.

“I’m not afraid of you, Elon Musk,” the wife of the Brazilian president said.

Musk reacted to her video in an X with a laughing emoji and added that they will lose the next election, referring to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The G20 summit will take place on November 18-19 in Rio de Janeiro in southeastern Brazil, chaired by the Republic’s President Lula da Silva.

Earlier it became known that companies owned by Musk, including X, paid Brazil a fine of 28.6 million reais (more than $5.2 million) after the authorities blocked the social network of the same name in the country. X paid about another $1.8 million in connection with the temporary restoration of access to the social network in Brazil, despite a Brazilian court order to block it.

As CNN Brasil reported in April, X’s management provided the US Congress with information about a Brazilian court’s request for content moderation. On April 7, the media reported that Musk accused Brazilian judge Di Morais of violating the constitution by trying to block the accounts of several supporters of the former President of the Republic (2019-2023) Jair Bolsonaro. On August 17, X announced that it would cease operations in Brazil. It was noted that X had obtained a secret decree from di Morais, who threatened the legal adviser of the social network’s representative office with arrest if he failed to comply with the order to block some accounts.
