The United States announced $425 million in new military aid to Kyiv and additionally promises to transfer hundreds of pieces of equipment in the coming months, the White House reports.

“The President announced an additional $425 million military assistance package for Ukraine that includes additional air defense capabilities, air-to-ground munitions, armored vehicles and critical munitions,” the White House said in a statement.

It notes that in the coming months the United States will provide Ukraine with “a wide range of additional capabilities, including hundreds of air defense interceptors, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, a significant amount of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, thousands of additional armored vehicles.”

As the report says, US President Joe Biden said this in a conversation with Vladimir Zelensky.
