The Trump campaign allowed Vice President Harris to surge in popularity.

The Trump campaign allowed Vice President Harris to surge in popularity.

The national Democratic convention held in Chicago may bring Vice President Kamala Harris additional points in the level of popular support, the campaign headquarters of the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump admitted.

“After the Democratic National Convention, we are likely to see a small jump for Harris in public polls… We would not be surprised to see Harris temporarily gain 2-3 points,” the Trump campaign said in a document released on Saturday.

It is emphasized that the growing popularity of the US Vice President, who previously officially accepted the Democratic Party’s candidacy to participate in the presidential elections on November 5, is due to the “flattering coverage” of Harris by the mainstream American media simultaneously with the negative image of Trump, who was nominated by the Republican Party.

It is noted that, fundamentally, Trump’s race with Harris is a draw, especially in swing states, which will remain the focus of the Republican candidate’s headquarters in order to achieve the necessary goal of 270 electoral votes out of a total of 538 and win according to the results of the vote scheduled in USA on November 5, 2024.
