An airport worth 244.5 million euros was opened in Turkey.

An international airport worth 244.5 million euros opened on Saturday in southeastern Turkey; the air harbor occupies 800 hectares, the state Anadolu agency writes.

“Cukurova International Airport is considered one of the most important aviation investments in Turkey. Built according to the build-operate-transfer model, the project cost is estimated at 244.5 million euros. The rent for the airport over 25 years will be 297 million 100 thousand euros. The air harbor occupies 800 hectares. The terminal area is 110 thousand square meters,” the publication writes.


The wide-body passenger aircraft will be able to land and take off at the airport.


Cukurova International Airport, Turkey’s second largest cargo hub and gateway to the Middle East, is expected to double its cargo traffic in the future.
