House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a letter released on Friday that he informed US leader Joe Biden the night before of lawmakers’ concerns about his prospects for re-election to the nation’s highest office.

“On behalf of the House Democratic Caucus, I submitted a request and was graciously received by President Joe Biden. This meeting took place last night. In my conversation with the President, I directly highlighted the wide range of views on future prospects that members of our caucus have shared recently,” – Jeffries said in the letter.

His meeting with Biden was the result of lively discussions among concerned members of Congress over the past few days. In particular, more and more lawmakers are expressing concerns about whether Biden will be able to win re-election to another presidential term.
