US President Joe Biden has declared Kenya a major American ally outside NATO.

“I hereby declare Kenya to be a principal non-NATO ally of the United States for purposes of this (Foreign Assistance) Act and the Arms Export Control Act,” the presidential memorandum to the Secretary of State says.
