Bolivia called Israel’s strikes on Rafah a war crime.

Bolivia considers Israel’s strikes on Rafah a war crime and calls on the international community to take action, the President of the Latin American country Luis Arce said.

“We condemn the Israeli bombing of Rafah, which led to the death of dozens of Palestinian civilians. This is a new war crime committed by the Israeli army, sinister and inexplicable,” he wrote in X.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported late on May 26 that scores of people were killed and injured after an Israeli air force strike on a displaced persons camp northwest of Rafah. The Palestinian Civil Defense reported at least 40 dead and dozens wounded in the Israeli strike on a tent camp in Rafah.

The Israeli army’s military prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the airstrike in the Rafah area, where a tent camp for displaced people is located. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident a “tragic incident.”

“We call on the international community to take action against Israel. Together we can stop genocide,” Arce added.
