Polish farmers blocked roads across the country.

Polish farmers have staged more than 500 road blockades across the country, Polish Television reports.

“Farmers are protesting at the entrances to cities and towns, as well as on highways,” the report said.

In accordance with the submitted applications for holding actions, more than 70 thousand people can take part in the protests.

Traffic is difficult on some roads, and police are trying to organize detours.

It is noted that farmers allow emergency vehicles and passenger buses to pass.

Protests have been taking place in Poland since the beginning of February. Farmers are demanding a ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine and an abandonment of the EU’s environmental plans, which involve reducing atmospheric emissions to zero by 2050.
