China responded to UK sanctions against Russia.

Beijing will do everything to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, the Chinese Embassy in London said, commenting on the sanctions imposed by Britain against Chinese companies as part of measures against Russia.

The day before, the UK imposed sanctions against a number of companies from several countries, including China. The list included three companies based in China: Finder Technology LTD and JUHANG Aviation Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Limited… and Beijing Micropilot Flight Control Systems Co., LTD.

A statement from the Chinese Embassy in the UK, posted on the embassy’s official website, stressed that UK sanctions against the companies involved are unilateral actions that have no basis in international law, and China “firmly opposes it.”

“China will take the necessary measures and resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies. We warn the British side that any actions that harm China’s interests will be resolutely opposed by China,” the statement said.

The diplomatic mission also emphasized that China has always maintained an objective and fair position on the Ukrainian issue and has actively contributed to promoting peace negotiations and promoting a political settlement.
